Does dismantling a structure refund supplies in WARDOGS?

No refund is documented. Holding V on a piece dismantles it step by step and costs hammer durability; the supplies spent on it are gone. One post-launch source says only the Large hammer can dismantle, an older one says any hammer. Plan before you place.

Dismantling exists, refunds do not. Hold V with a hammer on your own structure and a circle fills; the piece disappears in stages. Nothing returns to the console, and the hammer loses durability (the Large hammer has 3,000).

Question Answer Status
Supplies back? none documented ‡ verify
Which hammer? Large only (allthings.how, post-launch) or any (older guide) ‡ verify
Partial? yes, the piece is removed in steps confirmed
Enemy structures? no; destroy them with explosives or vehicles confirmed
Cancel a placement? not documented (Esc is the likely key) ‡ verify

Three habits that make dismantling unnecessary:

  1. Place with the hologram, not the hammer. White or green means valid, red means no. Rotate with R and toggle snapping with B before you click; the menu price is deducted the moment you place.
  2. Threat side first, ring second, everything else last. A wall you regret was almost always placed before the plan existed. Every FOBplans blueprint is a build order for this reason.
  3. Unfinished blueprints are cheap to fix. A placed piece at 0% has cost about three quarters of its menu price; if it is wrong, dismantle it before anyone hammers it.

The exact refund behaviour and the hammer tier for V are on our in-game verification list; this page updates with the result.
