What is the Hot Zone in WARDOGS?

A small circle that wanders inside the 2×2 km Control Zone. Players inside it count twice for zone control and earn double cash. It parks at a map drill tower for 180 s when a team enters the tower's code and follows a FOB Drill Rig while the rig runs.

WARDOGS scores one point per tick to the team with the most players inside the Control Zone; 100 points win. The Control Zone is a fixed 2×2 km square per match. The Hot Zone is the moving circle inside it, and it changes the count: every player inside the Hot Zone counts double, earns double cash and, if the team is building there, double build pay.

Mechanic Value
Tick 30 s ‡ (22 s in some databases, 10 s on Wikipedia)
Zone pay $160 per tick, Hot Zone $320, plus a streak bonus up to +$500
Win 100 points
Downed players count 0
Hot Zone movement wanders slowly on its own; walkable
Tower pull enter a captured tower’s code: zone parks there 180 s, $2,500, up to 5× per match, tower cooldown 10 min ‡
Drill Rig pull zone follows a running FOB rig; 1,200+ Fuel per activation, $2,500

Two base types exist because of the Hot Zone. The Hot Zone Bastion is built to sit inside it and survive the attention that the double count attracts. The Drill Rig Fortress is built to move it: three rigs staggered keep the circle parked on your base.

The tick length and the tower cooldown are disputed between sources and on our verification list.
